On July 11, FAW Jiefang Automobile Co., Ltd., FAW Group’s commercial vehicle arm, inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Tencent Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd., in regard to automotive information security.

The agreement will allow both parties to give full play to their advantages in their respective fields and join forces to build basic capabilities in auto information security, product R&D technology, testing and validation technology, and cutting-edge technology research. Standing atop FAW Jiefang’s comprehensive R&D system and colossal commercial vehicle market while leveraging Tencent’s leading expertise in information security, the duo aims to realize development and production in the automotive security field.
